Carpet Spot Remover

Two of the biggest concerns in the carpet industry today are the residue and toxicity associated with typical spot cleaners. High amounts of soap, surfactants, and toxins are contained in these products to attract stains or soil away from carpet fibers. These elements, however, are not completely removed by the cleaning process, leaving behind a toxic residue in your carpet. This acts like a “dirt magnet”, attracting more soil to the area over a short period of time. And of course, the toxins may be harmful to people or pets.

Mohawk’s Carpet Spot Remover eliminates these concerns. This product contains no soap, no surfactants, and no harmful toxins. Yet it cleans as well as, or better than, the current leading cleaners on the market today. Your carpet is left completely free of soil, residue, and toxins. In fact, Mohawk FloorCare Essentials Carpet Spot Remover has been awarded: the distinguished U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “Design for the Environment” seal indicating reduced risk to people and the environment; the Carpet and Rug Institute - CRI Seal of Approval certifying it as a superior carpet cleaning product; and the WoolSafe Mark identifying it as safe and effective in cleaning and protecting quality carpets. Beginning in 2007, Mohawk changed its warranties to require the use of products that have earned the CRI Seal of Approval for regular cleaning to keep the warranties valid.

Carpet and Rug Stain Removal:

- Treat stains as soon as possible for best results.

- Completely blot up wet areas with microfiber cloth.

- Do not rub, as rubbing may alter the carpet texture.

- To successfully remove any liquid based stain, it is important to keep as much of the soil as possible from penetrating into the carpet.

- Spray the Mohawk Carpet Spot Remover directly onto the soiled area.

- Agitate cleaner into the carpet pile by gently stroking the stained area with the rounded edge of the Carpet Cleaning Key. Wait 1-3 minutes until the soil loosens.

- Blot by pressing straight down with a microfiber cloth. Work from the outside of the spot to the inside.

- Continue to spray and blot until the stain is gone. Do not over saturate carpet - use small amounts of solution and blot frequently.
